The Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers meet Wednesday in MLB action from Comerica Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs. Detroit Tigers prediction.

The Cleveland Guardians will send out Tanner Bibee for the start here and Bibee is 7-3 with a 3.67 ERA and 115 strikeouts this season. In his career, Bibee is 0-2 with a 7.82 ERA and 13 strikeouts against Detroit. Reese Olson will start for Detroit here and Olson is 3-8 with a 3.22 ERA and 89 strikeouts this season. Guardians Trying To Hold On Atop AL Central

Detroit Tigers Recap

The Detroit Tigers will try to bounce back from their loss to the Guardians after falling just short on Tuesday. The Tigers could really use a win to keep the ball rolling after sweeping the Cincinnati Reds this past weekend.

Tigers Trying To Stay Afloat In AL Playoff Hunt

Entering Tuesday, Riley Greene leads the Tigers with 85 hits including 17 home runs and 45 RBIs along with 17 doubles, 5 triples, a .258 batting average and a .353 OBP in addition to a team-high 100 strikeouts this season. Mark Canha has 14 doubles, 6 home runs and 34 RBI and Javier Baez has a team-high 6 stolen bases. Matt Vierling also has 71 hits as well as 5 triples while Wenceel Perez has 5 triples and 6 stolen bases of his own. Kerry Carpenter has 10 doubles and 4 triples of his own with 29 RBIs.

Why the Detroit Tigers will win

Guardians vs. Tigers Prediction

Give me Cleveland here. I know things got a little bit dicey late for the Guardians, but the Guardians still held on and you have two pitchers that have had opposite levels of success this season. The Guardians have won a ton of games where Bibee has been the starter, while Olson’s had a hard time getting run support and the Tigers have lost a lot of Olson’s starts despite him pitching really well more often than not this season. In the end, I trust the Guardians’ lineup and bullpen way more than Detroit’s, so give me Cleveland here.
