Chicago Cubs vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
This is a weird spot for me because I usually don’t bet on pitchers making their major league debut because of the unknown. However, I’m also not a fan of bullpen games due to the amount of pitchers you typically need to get you over the finish line. Since I have to pick a side, I’m rolling with the Giants. Birdsong is a top-10 prospect in the Giants system and has the potential of being a top-3 starter in a rotation. Also, Birdsong has a high strikeout rate in the minors, and that could carry over to MLB until at least there’s some consistent film on him. Additionally, the Cubs aren’t playing well over the last couple of weeks. Give me the Giants to take 3 against the Cubs.
