Air Force Falcons Betting Preview

The Air Force Falcons are 3-1 (1-1) this season after they defeated Navy by a score of 14-9 last week. Air Force led 14-3 at halftime and they were able to get the low scoring win, but didn’t score any points in the second half. The Falcons out gained Navy by a total of 270-253, went 9-18 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-1 in the game. Prior to that win, Air Force defeated Nevada by a score of 36-33, but lost to North Dakota State by a score of 38-32 before that. The Falcons have scored 29.0 points per game with 93.0 passing yards and 297.3 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 20.0 points against per game this season. Liam Szarka was their starting QB and leading rusher, but he was hurt last week and is out for the season.

The Northern Illinois Huskies are 0-4 (0-0) this year after they lost to Georgia State by a score of 35-14 in their last game. Air Force vs Northern Illinois Prediction

Northern Illinois comes into this matchup looking for their first win of the season and they have allowed 35+ points in three of their four games. Air Force is 3-1 through four games, but just lost their starting QB, who was also their leading rusher. The Falcons have scored 32+ points three of their last four games, but I expect the offense to slow down here. I know NIU has been brutal, but I will take the points at home, especially with the Air Force QB situation.

David Racey's Pick: Northern Illinois +7.5
