Southern Illinois got to the line just three times (making one) however, and coughed up 16 turnovers along the way. Still, the Salukis are now 6-3 in the last nine games and 4-1 in their last five.
Back on February 9 when these teams last met up the Salukis took an 80-65 road victory. Southern Illinois shot 46.5 percent from the field in that one with a 40-29 rebounding edge and a 52-34 advantage on points in the paint. The Salukis had turnover trouble (12) in that one as well, so I’d like to see a single-digit number in the rematch.
