Michigan Wolverines Betting Preview

Michigan went 4-2 over their first six games, beating Fresno State, Arkansas State, USC, and Minnesota in that time. The Wolverines hit a 1-3 run in the next quartet with losses to Illinois, Oregon, and Indiana among a win over Michigan State.

In the Northwestern game over the weekend, the Wolverines posted double-digit points in three of four quarters along the way to a 50-6 blowout win. Davis Warren threw for 195 yards and a score, but Kalel Mullings carried the majority load with 12 totes for 92 yards and three scores.

Matched up against Indiana on Saturday, the Buckeyes were down early but quickly recovered on 28 points between two quarters in an eventual win 38-15. Will Howard threw for 201 yards, two scores, and an interception. TreVeyon Henderson added nine totes for 68 yards and a score.

Michigan vs Ohio State Prediction

I’ll probably stay with Ohio State. The Buckeyes took care of a good Indiana team over the weekend and made it look fairly easy. Ohio State had some fairly modest offensive stats, such as 316 yards (201 passing), 14 first downs, eight penalties, and a 4-of-11 rate on third downs. The defense really shined though, giving up just 151 yards (68 passing) and 16 first downs. The Buckeyes have scored 31 or more points in three straight.

As for Michigan, they didn’t have too many troubles with Northwestern. The Wolverines held the opposition to just 127 total yards (117 passing) and eight first downs. The 50 points were nice as well, following a total of just 32 across the previous pair. Michigan will certainly have their hands full in a tough road matchup here though, and I can’t see the Wolverines getting close.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes -20.5
