I’ll probably lean toward South Alabama. On Saturday the Jaguars came alive in the second half, riding 355 rush yards (523 total) and 28 first downs to the win. On defense, South Alabama gave up 238 rush yards (387 total) but also came up with a couple of takeaways and held the Warhawks to just 3-of-15 on third-down tries.
As for Georgia Southern, they posted 416 yards (303 passing) on offense in their loss to Old Dominion. The Eagles had a couple of turnovers and only held the ball for 25:08. Defensively Georgia Southern gave up 560 yards (256 rushing), 8.2 yards per play, and 26 first downs. The extra prep time should help the Eagles here but I don’t think they’ll quite cover if the Jaguars play well.
