The Dallas Wings and the Indiana Fever meet Saturday in WNBA action from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Dallas Wings vs. Indiana Fever prediction.

Matchup History

The Dallas Wings won the most recent meeting between these two teams back on August 12th, 2025, by a final score of 81-80 to snap Indiana’s five-game head-to-head win streak in this matchup.

Dallas Wings Team Preview

The Dallas Wings enter the 2026 season looking to turn things around after a frustrating 2025 campaign that saw the Wings finish 10-34 and ended up with the firing of head coach Chris Koclanes. The good news is that Paige Bueckers won rookie of the year and despite the poor showing, the Wings got the first overall pick to secure the talents of Bueckers’ UCONN teammate Azzi Fudd. The Wings added size in the frontcourt, landing both Alanna Smith and Jessica Shepard in free agency. Together with Awak Kuier and Li Yueru, Dallas finally has the size and defensive presence down low to compete. Head Coach Jose Fernandez will have Bueckers, Fudd, and Arike Ogunbowale, who re-signed on a two-year deal. Only time will tell if Bueckers can build on her rookie campaign to enter the MVP conversation and the kind of effect that Fudd will have in her rookie season and if that adds up to a Wings improvement in 2026.

Indiana Fever Team Preview

The Indiana Fever enter the 2026 season looking to finish what they started after a devastatingly unlucky end to their 2025 campaign. Despite being absolutely decimated by injuries—losing Caitlin Clark to a season-ending injury after just 13 games, alongside Sophie Cunningham—the Fever still managed to push the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces to overtime in Game 5 of the WNBA semifinals. The heartbreaking finish has only fueled expectations for a team that is officially built to win a title right now. The good news is that the league’s most lethal backcourt is fully healthy. The superstar tandem of Kelsey Mitchell, who finished fifth in MVP voting last season with a career-high 20.2 points per game, and a returning Caitlin Clark is as talented as any duo in basketball. To shore up a defense that ranked near the bottom of the league last year, Indiana added defensive depth in free agency with Monique Billings and drafted lockdown rookie point guard Raven Johnson out of South Carolina. They will join forces with Aliyah Boston, who is primed to leverage all the defensive attention on the guards to emerge as a genuine MVP contender herself. Only time will tell if a fully healthy roster can finally put all the pieces together and secure a championship run for the Fever in 2026.

Dallas Wings vs. Indiana Fever Prediction

I’m on the Fever here. I feel like there’s just far more that we know about the Fever now that they’re healthy, as this was a team that was viewed as one of the most talented in the W with Caitlin Clark, the progression from Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. Dallas I think has the talent to improve greatly in 2026, but in game one I’m taking the more proven commodity in the Fever.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Indiana -5.5
