The Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream meet Monday in WNBA action from the Gateway Center Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Golden State Valkyries vs. Atlanta Dream prediction.

Golden State Valkyries Recap

The Golden State Valkyries come into this game looking to bounce back from their 82-71 loss at the hands of the Minnesota Lynx last time out to sit at 9-8 on the year. After this game, the Valkyries will head on the road again for a matchup against the Indiana Fever.

Valkyries Have Two-Game Win Streak Snapped

Kayla Thornton leads the Valkyries in scoring and rebounding with 14.9 PPG and 7.1 RPG along with 1.6 SPG while Veronica Burton has 10.2 PPG with 3.8 RPG and a team-high 5.1 APG to lead the Valkyries in the assist department. Janelle Salaun has 10.4 PPG with 5.3 RPG while Tiffany Hayes has 14 PPG with 3.7 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Golden State so far this season. Temi Fagbenle has 9.5 PPG with 5.9 RPG while Monique Billings has 7.7 PPG with 5.3 RPG as well this season. Laeticia Amihere has 8.6 PPG with 6.3 RPG and Cecelia Zandalasini has 8.4 PPG as well this season. As a team, Golden State is averaging 79 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field, 29% from three and 78.7% from the foul line this season.

Atlanta Dream Recap

The Atlanta Dream come into this game looking to bounce back from their 80-79 loss at the hands of the Storm last time out to sit at 11-7 this season. After this game, the Dream will head on the road for their own matchup against Indiana.

Dream Drop Three Of Their Last Four

Allisha Gray leads the Dream in scoring with 19.1 PPG and 4.1 APG while also chipping in 5.7 RPG and Rhyne Howard has 16.8 PPG with 5.2 RPG and 4.7 APG as well this season. Brionna Jones has 14 PPG with a team-high 8.1 RPG to lead the Dream on the glass and to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Atlanta up to this point in the season. Brittney Griner’s also chipped in 9.9 PPG and 5.5 RPG as well on the year. As a team, the Dream are averaging 84.1 PPG on 42.9% shooting from the field, 32% from three and 76% from the foul line this season.

Golden State Valkyries vs. Atlanta Dream Prediction

I’m on the Valkyries and the points here. I was on the other side against Minnesota because the Valkyries admittedly haven’t been as strong on the road from an underdog perspective as they’ve been at home. However, the Dream are not a team I’m rushing to back right now, as Rhyne Howard is still listed as day to day, and that’s a big absence for the Dream if she continues to miss. The Valkyries just barely missed out on covering against the Lynx and I’m not really holding that against them. I think Golden State can make this one competitive and could potentially win this one outright. Give me Golden State and the points here.
