The Lynx were down by 18 points in Game 1, and it looked like Minnesota was going to lose the game, but they continued to fight back and although it ended up taking overtime, they were able to secure the 95-93 victory. In the 4th quarter they outscored the Lynx 23-16 and that was enough for the win. Courtney Williams finished with 23 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Williams sure impressed and hit a four point play late in regulation to even reach overtime. There were three different players that put up at least 11 points. In this game, the Lynx’s offense is going to need to get out to a fast start to put the pressure on. 

How Do Liberty Bounce Back?

The big question for the Liberty heading into this game is how they bounce back from such a devastating loss in the first game of the WNBA finals. At the end of the first quarter, the Liberty were up 32-19, and it looked like they were going to cruise to the victory. As the game went on though, they allowed the Lynx to fight back, and they ended up losing overtime. The Liberty really needs to forget about what happened in the last game. That thought can’t creep into the back of their head, or it’s going to end up being a long game. The Liberty were led by Jonquel Jones, who finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.
