In this article, we will formulate a Seattle Storm vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction for this WNBA Game on Friday, May 17th at the Target Center. To formulate this prediction, we will examine:

-The Storm’s recent form and recent player performance

-The Lynx’s recent form and recent play performance

-A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for today’s game between the Storm and Lynx.

Lynx Impressed in First Game

Not many gave the Lynx much of a chance in the first game against the Storm, but all they did was dominate the game. The offense scored 83 points, but even more impressive was the defense, giving up only 70 points. If the Lynx defense can play that well all season, they are going to be in store for a nice season. Alanna Smith had a strong game, putting up 22 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Naphessa Collier also really impressed, putting up 20 points and 12 rebounds. The Lynx as a team shot 45.3 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from behind the three point line. They hit seven of their 24 shots from deep, and the shooting is going to need to stay up here.

Storm Struggled in Game 1

The Storm have high expectations for this season, but they sure didn’t look great n the first game. The defense was a problem, giving up 83 points, but even worse was the offense, that scored only 70 points. Winning games in the WNBA isn’t easy when your offense is only putting up 70 points. Nneka Ogwumike had a strong game, putting up 20 points and nine rebounds. Ezi Magbegor putting up 15 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. There were four different players that were put up 10 points.  The Storm only shot 37.2 percent from the field and 11.1 percent from deep. They only hit one of their nine shots from deep. In this game, the offense is going to need to be better early.

Seattle Storm vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction

The Storm struggled in the first game, and it’s going to be much of the same here. The Storm’s defense is going to be an issue all season, and they are going to really struggle here. The Lynx are going to use a balanced attack here, and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. The Lynx are going to score even more than the 83 points in the first game, and that will be the difference. Back the Lynx against the spread.

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a PickDawgz site consensus.
