Mercury Betting Preview
The Mercury didn’t live up to the expectations last season but they went out searching for star power this offseason. Natasha Cloud and Kahleah Copper were brought in this offseason and both are players who they hope can lead Phoenix to the promised land. The Mercury played two preseason games and they didn’t look great. In the first game against the Seattle Storm, they lost 85-59 and in the last game against the Los Angeles Sparks they lost 98-85. Copper was the top player for the Mercury putting up 16 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Diana Taurasi also finished 13 points while hitting two of his five shots from deep.
Aces Betting Preview
On the other side of this matchup is the Las Vegas Aces are looking to build on their back-to-back championships. This team is going to look a little different though. Candace Parker hung up the sneakers which means there is more pressure Kiah Strokes. She was strong in the playoffs before a foot injury knocked her out. Megan Gustafson also has a ton of pressure to really help the team out this year. The Aces played only one preseason game and that was against Team Puerto Rico, a game they won 102-50. Wilson had a strong game putting up 27 points and 14 rebounds. Kelsey Plum put up 21 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Phoenix Mercury vs Las Vegas Aces Prediction
The Mercury picked up some star power this offseason and that is going to lead to them scoring plenty. The Aces offense has been good heading into this game and they are going to have no issue running up the score. There will be zero defense played by either team here, and that will lead to both teams running up the score. This game is going to be a shootout, and the over is going to cash.
