In this article, we will formulate a Minnesota Lynx vs Seattle Storm Prediction for this WNBA Game on Tuesday, May 14th at Climate Pledge Arena. To formulate this prediction, we will examine:
-The Lynx recent form and recent player performance
-The Storm recent form and recent play performance
-A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for today’s game between the Lynx and Storm.
Lynx Betting Preview
The Lynx have high expectations heading into this season, and they believe they have a team that can really compete this season. Naphessa Coller is the star of the show for the Lynx and even when they have struggled at times, she has continued to play at an MVP level. Alanna Smith was also brought in, and she should really help out this team. Courtney Williams is also on the squad and many believe she is going to be a standout. The Lynx have played two preseason games and they have looked good. Against the Chicago Sky in the first game they won 92-81 and in the last game against the Washington Mystics they won 83-77. Coller in the last game put up 15 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Williams also put up 13 points, six assists, and four rebounds. In this game, I would expect the Lynx are going to push the pace and try to get a balanced attack.
Storm Betting Preview
The Storm look different this season, but they believe they have what it takes to win a WNBA title. Jewell Lloyd is still on the team, and she has a couple of stars to help her. Skylar Diggins-Smith and Nneka Ogwumike were brought in this offseason to really bolster the team. The Storm played two preseason games, and they were able to secure a 1-1 record. In the first game against the Los Angeles Sparks they were defeated 84-79, but in the last game against the Phoenix Mercury they were able to secure the 84-59 victory. Jewell Lloyd had a strong game, putting up 18 points, five rebounds, and one assist. Ogwumike also had a strong game, putting up 15 points and three rebounds. The bench production wasn’t great in that game and in this game they are going to need the pitching to be good here.
Minnesota Lynx vs Seattle Storm Prediction
The Storm are probably the better team, but they don’t deserve to be this big of favorites. This is a very talented Lynx team that can really score. Collier is going to have a huge game here and the Lynx offense is going to really put on a show here. The Storm are going to score plenty here, but the Lynx are going to keep it within a couple of points, and I wouldn’t be shocked if they win this game outright. Back the Lynx against the spread here.
Shane’s Pick Lynx +8.5
