The Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty face off on Wednesday in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals at the Barclays Center. The Aces currently sit with a 2-1 series lead.
Can Aces Close It Out?
The Aces won the first two games of the WNBA Finals but in the last game they didn’t look good. The offense only managed 73 points and the defense gave up 87 points. Kelsey Plum had a strong game finishing with 29 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Outside of Plum though, the rest of the team wasn’t good enough. In the first game the Aces scored 99 points and in the last game the offense scored 104 points. In this game the Aces are going to need the offense to find success early, and really put the pressure on the Liberty.
Liberty Look to Build on Last Game
The Liberty defense struggled in the first two games of the WNBA Finals, but in the last game they really stepped up and that was the difference. The Liberty for most of the season was known for their offense but in this series it needs to need to be the defense that steps up. In the last game the Liberty’s offense was led by Jonquel Jones and she had 27 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. There were four different players that finished with at least 12 points, and the balanced attack meant success.
Shane’s Free Pick
This game is going to be another victory by the Liberty. New York’s defense finally stepped up and they are going to get the defense to step up again here. The Liberty’s offense is also going to use the balanced attack and that is going to be the difference as New York is going to get the job done here. Back the Liberty against the spread.
Shane’s Pick Liberty -5.5
