Minnesota Lynx at Chicago Sky 6/26/22 WNBA Picks and Prediction
The Minnesota Lynx and Chicago Sky meet Sunday in WNBA action at the Wintrust Arena. The Minnesota Lynx look to build on back-to-back victories. The Chicago Sky look for a win after winning 5 of their last 6 games.
The Minnesota Lynx are averaging 79.9 points on 43.4 percent shooting and allowing 84.3 points on 44.7 percent shooting. Sylvia Fowles is averaging 16.3 points and 10.2 rebounds, while Kayla McBride is averaging 14.5 points and 1.8 assists. Moriah Jefferson is the third double-digit scorer and Aerial Powers is grabbing 4.8 rebounds. The Minnesota Lynx are shooting 31.9 percent from beyond the arc and 77.5 percent from the free throw line. The Minnesota Lynx are allowing 35.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.4 rebounds per game.
The Chicago Sky are averaging 85.2 points on 46.8 percent shooting and allowing 79.7 points on 42.4 percent shooting. Kahleah Cooper is averaging 14 points and 2 assists, while Emma Meesseman is averaging 13.1 points and 6.5 rebounds. Candace Parker is the third double-digit scorer and Courtney Vandersloot is grabbing 4.1 rebounds. The Chicago Sky are shooting 35.5 percent from beyond the arc and 83 percent from the free throw line. The Chicago Sky are allowing 32.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.2 rebounds per game.
The Chicago Sky are the better team and should be favored at home, but the Minnesota Lynx are coming off two strong showings against the Mercury and that offense is starting to finally show some potential. The Lynx also hung around with the Sky earlier this season, a game where they made a big comeback and had their chances to steal it in the fourth quarter. The Sky should win, but I'm going to assume we get a decent amount of points with the Lynx. I'll take a shot with the road dog.
