The Washington Mystics and Las Vegas Aces meet Saturday in WNBA action at the Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Washington Mystics look for a win after splitting their last 8 games. The Las Vegas Aces look to build on their 13-3 record.
The Washington Mystics are averaging 78.7 points on 43 percent shooting and allowing 75.6 points on 43.3 percent shooting. Elena Delle Donne is averaging 15.3 points and 5.7 rebounds, while Ariel Atkins is averaging 15.1 points and 3.5 rebounds. Natasha Cloud is the third double-digit scorer and Alysha Clark is grabbing 4.5 rebounds. The Washington Mystics are shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free throw line. The Washington Mystics are allowing 33.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.9 rebounds per game.
The Las Vegas Aces are averaging 91.5 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allowing 83 points on 42.6 percent shooting. Kelsey Plum is averaging 20.3 points and 3.3 rebounds, while A’ja Wilson is averaging 18.4 points and 9.6 rebounds. Jackie Young is the third double-digit scorer and Dearica Hamby is grabbing 9.1 rebounds. The Las Vegas Aces are shooting 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free throw line. The Las Vegas Aces are allowing 31.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.4 rebounds per game.
The Washington Mystics beat Las Vegas back on May 10, but it's fair to say the Aces are a completely different team over a month later. The best offense in the league and a team that will bury you if not ready to match their energy, the Las Vegas Aces aren't a team I'm thrilled to step in front of. Yes, the defense can be shaky at times, but Las Vegas is downright scary when the shots are falling, and they're a profitable 9-7 against the spread. Give me the Aces at home.
