The Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm face off in their 25th game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy on Sunday
The Seattle Storm are the best team inside the bubble, and evidently they can win without their best players. The Storm rested Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart in the last game against the Phoenix Mercury and they were still able to win 83-60 and it would have been even more of a blowout if they wouldn’t have been outscored by nine points. In the last game it was a balanced attack with six different players scoring at least ten points. All the Storm’s stats this season are nice, but this team looks a lot different without Bird and Stewart, even though they were able to win the last game. On the season the Storm are averaging 87.7 points per game while the defense is giving up 75.5 points per game.
The Las Vegas Aces are one of the best teams inside the bubble and they currently sit with 17 wins. Coming into this game the Aces have won four games in a row and they are coming off a game against the Minnesota Lynx where they scored 104 points. In the Aces last game they had three different players who put up 20 points. On the season the Aces are averaging 89,1 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field. The Aces best player this season has been A’ja Wilson who is averaging 20.4 points while shooting 47.6 percent from the field. Angel McCoughtry has also found a lot of success averaging 14.7 points while shooting 51.4 percent from the field.
Seattle might be shorthanded, but clearly that doesn't matter and in this game they will have no issue getting the job done. Look for the Storm’s defense to be strong again in this game and they will have no issue getting the job done. Back the Storm to cover the spread.
