The Minnesota Lynx and Washington Mystics face off in their 18th game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy on Tuesday.
The Minnesota Lynx are coming off a loss, but they have been able to do, even though they have dealt with some injuries. Before their last loss against the Seattle Storm, the Lynx had won three games in a row. Against Seattle in the last game, the defense really struggled giving up 103 points and that led to the loss. Minnesota comes into this game averaging 83.4 points per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field. On defense, the Lynx are giving up 78.6 points per game while letting opponents shoot 43. 9 percent from the field.
Rookie Crystal Dangerfield has been the best player for the Lynx averaging 15.6 points while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. Naphessa Collier has also found a lot of success averaging 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
The Washington Mystics have struggled inside the bubble but in the last two games they have won one of the games. In the last game, the Mystics were able to force overtime against the Dallas Wings, but in the overtime period they were outscored 15-8 and that led to the loss. On the season the Mystics are averaging 79.5 points per game while the defense is giving up 83.3 points per game. The Mystics are shooting 42.5 percent from the field while letting opponents shoot 46.6 percent from the field. Myshia Hines-Allen has been the best offensive player for the Mystics averaging 15.4 points while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.
The Lynx might be coming off a loss, but they are the better team and they are going to have no issue getting the job done. Look for another big game from Dangerfield and they will have no issue winning this game and covering the spread.
