The New York Liberty and Seattle Storm face off in their 11th game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy on Tuesday.
On the other side of this matchup is the New York Liberty who have had a terrible season and there is no reason to believe it’s going to turn around anytime soon. So far inside the bubble the Liberty have only one win and coming into this game they have lost four games in a row. In the Liberty’s last game the offense really struggled scoring only 64 points, while their defense let them down too giving up 94 points. Only one player in the last game scored in double figures for the Liberty.
On the season the Liberty are averaging only 73.3 points while their defense is giving up 86.9 points. One of the biggest issue for the Liberty has been their star player Sabrina Ionescuis out while she deals with an ankle injury. Layshia Clarendon has stepped up without him averaging 13.4 points but that isn’t enough with not many others stepping up.
On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Storm who have been one of the best teams in the WNBA and coming into this game they have won eight games in a row. In two of the last three wins the Storm have scored at least 95 points and in the other game they still scored 83 points. This has been an elite offensive team all season that is averaging 86.4 points while giving up 73.3 points per game.
Breanna Stewart has been the best player this season for the Storm averaging 18.9 points while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. Jewell Lloyd has also found a lot of success averaging 13.6 points while shooting 43.2 percent from the field.
The Storm are the better team and they are going to have no issue running up the score in this game. Look for the Storm to run up the score in this game and that is going to lead to them having no issues in this game. Back the Storm to recover the spread.
Shane’s Pick Seattle Storm ATS
