The Seattle Storm and Dallas Wings face off in their tenth game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy on Friday.
The Seattle Storm have found a whole lot of success this season and coming into this game they have lost only one game. The Storm had one of their most complete games of the season putting up 100 points while only allowing the Atlanta Dream to score 63 points. In the Storm’s last game it was Sami Whitcomb and Jewell Lloyd putting up 20 points. On the season the Storm are averaging 85.8 points while giving up 74.3 points per game.
Breanna Stewart has been the best player for the Storm averaging 18.7 points, eight rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. The good news for the Storm is they do have Sue Bird back and she is averaging 10.3 points per game.
On the other side of this matchup is the Dallas Wings who have struggled this season and coming into this game they have lost five of their last six games. In the last game, the Wings offense really struggled putting up 66 points and that isn’t enough points to have a chance to win games. On the season the Wings are averaging 79 points per game while the defense has given up 82.9 points.
Arike Ogunbowale is averaging 20.2 points per game while shooting 40.4 percent from the field. Outside of Ogunbowale though, the Wings haven’t had many others step up, and if they want a chance in this game, they need the others around her to step up. If the offense struggles in this game they will have zero shot to come away with a win.
The Storm are a good defensive team and that is going to continue in this game against a Wings offense that at times has struggled. In this game look for another big game for Breanna Stewart and that will lead to the Storm winning this game and covering the spread.
