The Seattle Storm and the Atlanta Dream face off in their sixth game of the WNBA season inside the bubble at IMG Academy.
The Seattle Storm have found a lot of success this season winning each of their five games so far this year. In the last game against the Sun, the Storm’s defense was strong giving up only 74 points while the offense put up 87 points. Five of the six games so far this year for the Storm have had at least 76 points scored. On the season the Storm are averaging 83.2 points per game while the defense has given up 75 points.
On offense the Storm’s best player has Breanna Stewart who is averaging 18.8 points while shooting 42.3 percent from deep. Jewell Lloyd and Sue Bird have also found a lot of success this season. Bird is averaging 10.7 points while shooting 44.4 percent from the field.
On the other side of this matchup is the Atlanta Dream who have been up and down this season and they currently sit with a 2-3 record.in the last game the Dream’s offense wasn’t as good as they need to be putting up only 74 points while their defense gave up 81 to the Mercury. In the first game of this season the Dream put up 105 points so this is a squad that can run up the score, they just need to be more consistent with that part of their game. On the season the Dream are averaging 82 points per game while giving up 89.4 points.
On offense the Dream are led by Betnijah Laney who is averaging 17.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Kennedy Carter has also found a whole lot of success this year putting up 17.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
The Storm are the better team and they are going to get the job done in this game. Look for them to attack a weak defense of the Dream and that will be enough to get the job done. Back the Storm to win this game and cover the spread.
