The Minnesota Lynx and Connecticut Sun face off in their fourth WNBA game Saturday inside the WNBA bubble at the IMG Academy.
The Minnesota Lynx have looked good in two of their games, and they really struggled in the other game. To start off the season, the Lynx made a late comeback with a strong comeback against the Connecticut Sun in the first game of the series. In that game, the Lynx allowed the Sun to only score 12 points and that led to the victory.
In the second game, the defense really struggled against the Seattle Storm and that led to a 90-66 loss. In the last game, the Lynx’s offense was good again putting up 83 points and that led to a 83-81 victory. The star of the show for the Lynx is Sylvia Fowles but in the last game it was Napheesa Fowler who was the difference putting up 20 points and 10 rebounds. Even in the last game the defense was still a concern and they need to be better with that going forward.
On the other side of this matchup is the Connecticut Sun who has really struggled this season and they are still looking for their first win of the year. After the struggles in the first game, the Sun followed it up with a terrible showing against the Washington Mystics. In that game the Sun’s defense was terrible giving up 94 points and that led to the loss. In the last game against the Los Angeles Sparks the defense was a little better but the offense couldn’t do enough and that led to the loss. The Sun only scored only 76 points in that game.
In the last game, the Sun was led by DeWanna Bonner who had one of the most impressive games of the season putting up 34 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists.
The Lynx already beat the Sun once this season and it’s going to happen again in this game. Look for the Lynx’s offense to run up the score and that will lead to a victory and a cover of the spread.
