Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Raphael Collignon in the Gstaad Open final on Sunday, July 19th. Tsitsipas reached his first ATP Tour final in 16 months while Collignon his maiden final at this level. Here’s our Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Raphael Collignon prediction. This preview will include a Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Raphael Collignon pick.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Raphael Collignon Preview

Stefanos Tsitsipas reached his first ATP Tour final in over a year at the Gstaad Open. The Greek entered this ATP 250 event ranked 85th in the world rankigns, with a Top 100 exit very much a possibility. But he earned his spot in the final with a three-set win over Alexander Shevchenko.

Tsitsipas defeated the Kazakh 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in just under two hours. In the victory, Tsitsipas hit 3 aces and 2 double faults. Tsitsipas landed 61% of first serves in play and won 81% of first serve points (35/43). Tsitsipas won 74% of second serve points (20/27) and saved two of three break points.

Before this round, Tsitsipas beat Buse, Kym and Rinderknech. Only one of his four matches this week finished in straight sets, and surprisingly, it was against in-form Buse. Tsitsipas is a 13-time champion on the ATP Tour.

Raphael Collignon reached his first-ever ATP Tour final in Gstaad. He beat Juan Manuel Cerundolo in three sets. Collignon lost the first set 6-1 in 33 minutes. He was on the brink of defeat when he trailed 3-5 in the second set. But he saved a match point on his serve and then broke back for 5-all. Collignon went on to win the second set in a tiebreak to leve.

The Belgian briefly trailed in the third set 2-5, but won five games in a row to secure an unlikely victory. Collignon hit 7 aces and 4 double faults in the win. She landed 62% of first serves in play and won 74% of first serve points (43/58). Collinon won 46% of second serve points (16/35) and saved four of eight break points.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Raphael Collignon Head-To-Head

Tsitsipas and Collignon have never met before this, so this will be their first meeting.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Raphael Collignon Prediction

Tsitsipas has quietly put together his best week of the season and this will be his first final in 16 months. Beating an in-form Buse on clay set the tone and I can’t see past Tsitsipas lifting his 14th title this Sunday. The Greek’s aggressive all-court should be too much for the first-time finalist.

Nur Said's Pick: Tsitsipas in straight sets
