Mirra Andreeva and Belinda Bencic meet in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8. Here’s our Mirra Andreeva vs Belinda Bencic prediction. This preview will also include a Mirra Andreeva vs Belinda Bencic pick.

Mirra Andreeva vs Belinda Bencic Preview
Mirra Andreeva is coming off a straight sets win over World No. 10 Emma Navarro in the last 16. Andreeva won 6-2, 6-3 in an hour and 17 minutes. Andreeva had the perfect start to the match when she broke Navarro in the third game and then the fifth game of the opening set. She needed three set points to eventually seal it 6-2. The second set was slightly more competitive, but Andreeva broke Navarro’s serve four times.

In the victory, Andreeva hit 17 winners and 27 unforced errors, accounting for two aces and two double faults. Andreeva landed 59% of first serves in play and won 72% of first serve points (23/32). She won 41% of second serve points (9/22) and saved four of six break points. Andreeva will bid to reach her second Grand Slam semifinal. This is already her best result at Wimbledon and is now 5-2 on grass this season and 11-5 on the surface in her pro career. Andreeva has not lost a set in the tournament so far, and has already beaten Mayar Sherif, Lucia Bronzetti and Hailey Baptiste.

Belinda Bencic is through to her first Wimbledon quarterfinal. The World No. 35 beat number 18 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets in the last round. Benic led 4-1 in the opening set with the comfort of a double break. But she lost four of the next five games as Alexandrova leveled. Then it was the Russian’s turn to lose a lead in the tiebreak from 3-0 up. Bencic won seven of the next eight points to settle the opening set after one hour and two minutes.

In the second set, neither player lost serve for the first seven games. Bencic broke in the eigth game but struggled to close out the match. She saved four break points when serving for the match, but eventually lost her serve. It took her until the 10th game to break Alexandrova for a second time and seal the match. This was a second meeting between them in as many weeks. Bencic had lost to Alexandrova during one of the warm-up tournaments on grass, but evened the score at Wimbledon. Bencic hit 24 winners and 28 unforced errors, including one ace and three double faults. Bencic landed 65% of first serves in play and won 62% of first serve points (37/60). She won 53% of second serve points (17/32) and saved eight of 11 break points.

Andreeva and Bencic have never met at any level before this.

Mirra Andreeva vs Belinda Bencic Prediction
These are two great stories as the search for a new Wimbledon champion reaches the last eight stage. Andreeva while still honing her grass-court game has a Wimbledon-winning coach in her box. She’s also playing with so much authority having not lost a set. Bencic is a clever returner and will get her chances attacking Andreeva’s second serve which is a weak spot. Ultimately, I think we may likely see a close two setter with Andreeva just outhitting the Swiss.
