World No. 78 Antonia Ruzic will face World No. 138 Tamara Korpatsch in the first round of the 2025 Limoges Challenger on Tuesday, December 9. Here’s our Antonia Ruzic vs Tamara Korpatsch prediction. This preview will also include an Antonia Ruzic vs Tamara Korpatsch pick.

Antonia Ruzic vs Tamara Korpatsch Preview

Antonia Ruzic is ranked 78th in the WTA rankings and is coming off a semifinal run at the Angers Challenger this past week, where she lost to eventual champion Kamilla Rakhimova. Ruzic was the closest to beating Rakhimova in Angers, but lost 7-5 in the third set. The Croatian has enjoyed a great breakout season in which she won 47 matches in all competitions and lost 29 times. She lifted two titles on the ITF level, one in Trnava and the other in Maribor. At the tour level, Ruzic made the quarterfinals of Monterrey as a qualifier and notched a handful of victories against top 50 players. This will be her first participation in Limoges. She has a 19-5 record on indoor hard courts in 2025.

Tamara Korpatsch also fell victim to Kamilla Rakhimova in Angers. The German knocked out defending champion Alycia Parks en route to the final, where she had set points to take Rakhimova to a third set, but ultimately lost the second set tiebreak and the match. But it has still been a very positive couple of months for Korpatsch, who is nearing a top 100 return.

Since the start of November, Korpatsch has played 16 matches, making the final in Funchal (ITF) and lifting the title there and advancing to a couple of quarterfinals in two other ITF tournaments in Trnava. This will be her seventh main draw appearance in Limoges. Korpatsch has reached the quarterfinals once in this event. Last year, she was knocked out in the last 16.

Antonia Ruzic vs Tamara Korpatsch Head-To-Head

Ruzic leads the head-to-head 1-0. She won their only meeting at the 2025 Trnava 2 ITF in straight sets.

Antonia Ruzic vs Tamara Korpatsch Prediction

Ruzic beat Korpatsch indoors when they played earlier this year. While the German veteran has hit a purple patch just in time for their rematch, questions remain on how much she has left in the tank after a busy week in Angers. Korpatsch has also played 16 matches since mid-November, making deep runs at every tournament in that time. I’m rolling with the fresher legs of Ruzic here.

Nur Said's Pick: Antonia Ruzic in three sets
