Jenson Brooksby is coming off a three-set victory over Gabriel Debru in the semifinals of the Fort Worth Challenger. The first set lasted an hour and 17 minutes. There were no breaks and it took a marathon tiebreak to decide it. Brooksby squandered at least three set points, while Debru needed 7 set points to clinch it 16-14. The first break of the match came in the 8th game of the second set. Brooksby broke Debru to lead 5-3 and went on to serve for the set in the next game. The American made the perfect start in the third set as he broke Debru and went on to clinch the set 6-2 for a spot in the final.
Darwin Blanch reached his second ATP Challenger final in Fort Worth. The 19-year-old defeated Sander Jong in the semifinals in straight sets. Blanch took the first set in a tiebreak, having trailed earlier in the set. The young American dominated the second set with two breaks of serve. Blanch has not dropped a set and is a decent value for money to maintain another solid serving performance.
