Jannik Sinner powered past Casper Ruud to reach the title match at the ATP Finals. In their third career meeting on an indoor hard court, the result was the same, except that this time, Sinner was even more dominant.
Ruud’s presence in the semi-final stage after qualifying in a group containing Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev raised many eyebrows. The Norwegian earned his spot in the last four but was clearly beaten by the ATP’s MVP of 2024.

Both players saved crucial break points in the decider, which went into a tie-break, and it was Zverev who sprayed an error too many to lose his unbeaten streak.
