Elena Rybakina and Marta Kostyuk face off in the third round of the 2026 Miami Open on Sunday, March 22. Here’s our Elena Rybakina vs Marta Kostyuk prediction. This preview will also include an Elena Rybakina vs Marta Kostyuk pick.

Elena Rybakina vs Marta Kostyuk Preview

Elena Rybakina began the tournament with a convincing win over fellow Kazakhstani Yulia Putintseva. Already trailing 1-2 in the head-to-head, Rybakina faced the feisty Putintseva in probably the best form of her life. And she was the first to break in the opening set only to cede back that advantage in the next game. But the reigning Australian Open champion made amends and broke Putintseva in the decisive eighth game before sealing the set in her next service game to lead 6-3.

Rybakina survived a long game early on in the second set, in which she saved two break points and the set stayed on serve until the seventh game, when Rybakina finally broke to lead. And the World No. 2 got the insurance to seal the match in the ninth game. Rybakina hit 9 aces and 2 double faults in the victory. She won 75% of first serve points (27/36) and saved two of three break points in the match.

Marta Kostyuk is playing in just her second tournament since the Australian Open, where she sustained a torn ligament in her left ankle. And the Ukrainian picked up her sixth win of the season with a 6-2, 6-4 victory against World No. 82 Kamilla Rakhimova. Kostyuk hit 5 aces and 7 double faults in the win. She landed 52% of first serves in play and won 79% of first serve points (19/24). Kostyuk won 36% of second serve points (8/22) and saved two of five break points on her serve.

Elena Rybakina vs Marta Kostyuk Head-To-Head

Rybakina and Kostyuk have met five times, with the Kazakh enjoying a healthy 4-1 head-to-head lead.

Elena Rybakina vs Marta Kostyuk Prediction

These two women faced off in Indian Wells a little over a week ago and it was Rybakina who came out on top. When Rybakina is serving clean and shortening points with some of that crunching first-strike power, there is little you can do as a returner. But this line still feels inflated. Kostyuk competes hard and has improved considerably in the past two seasons and pushed Rybakina in Indian Wells. The Kazakh tends to have occasional dips on serve and Kostyuk can well put pressure and take her chance on return.

Nur Said's Pick: Kostyuk set handicap +1.5
