World No. 54 Cristina Bucsa will face World No. 345 Tiphanie Lemaitre in the second round of the 2025 Limoges Challenger on Thursday, December 11. Here’s our Cristina Bucsa vs Tiphanie Lemaitre prediction. This preview will also include a Cristina Bucsa vs Tiphanie Lemaitre pick.

Cristina Bucsa vs Tiphanie Lemaitre Preview

Cristina Bucsa opened her account this week with a routine straight-sets win over Teodora Kostovic. The match took 16 games to decide. Bucsa eased to a 6-4, 6-0 victory in just an hour and 13 minutes. The Spaniard hit 2 aces and 2 double faults in the match. She landed 60% of first serves in play and won 78% of first serve points (28/36). Bucsa won 42% of second serve points (10/24) and saved four of five break points on her serve.

Bucsa picked up her 35th win of the season in all competitions. She is coming off a runner-up finish at the WTA 250 in Hong Kong. This was her first match in over a month. Bucsa is a former champion in Limoges, having won this indoor event two years ago.

Tiphanie Lemaitre shocked fellow French player Oceane Dodin in the first round in Limoges to record her maiden main draw win in this tournament. The World No. 345 completed a straight-sets win in an hour and 30 minutes. The first set featured two breaks but needed a tiebreak to decide it. Dodin lost two of her serves from 4-3 up and Lemaitre held to take a surprise lead.

In the second set, Lemaitre managed to break Dodin’s serve on two occasions to complete a  7-6, 6-2 win. Lemaitre hit 5 aces and 2 double faults in the match. She landed 62% of first serves in play and won 83% of first serve points (33/40). Lemaitre won 40% of second serve points (10/25) and saved three of four break points.

Cristina Bucsa vs Tiphanie Lemaitre Head-To-Head

Bucsa and Lemaitre have never met at any level before this.

Cristina Bucsa vs Tiphanie Lemaitre Prediction

Lemaitre is a name I didn’t expect to see in the second round in Limoges, but she was exceptional in her return games to tame the big serve of Dodin. Bucsa, however, presents a much sterner challenge. Lean Bucsa. She’s the seasoned pro with a more dynamic game and Lemaitre just doesn’t have the match toughness to wrestle control and overpower her from the baseline.

Nur Said's Pick: Bucsa in straight sets
