Second seed Iga Swiatek will face 16th seed Emma Navarro in the fourth round of the 2025 China Open in Beijing. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1. Here’s our Iga Swiatek vs Emma Navarro prediction. This preview will also include an Iga Swiatek vs Emma Navarro pick.

Iga Swiatek vs Emma Navarro Preview

Iga Swiatek reached the China Open fourth round for a second time. She is on a six-match winning streak, having captured her third title of the season at the Korea Open over a week ago. Swiatek started the tournament in Beijing this past week with a routine 6-0, 6-3 win over local favorite Yuan Yue.

In the second round, Swiatek was well on her way to victory when she took the first set against Colombia’s Camila Osorio 6-0 in 35 minutes. But Osorio was unable to continue in the match due to a back injury, having earlier taken a medical timeout.

Swiatek is aiming to win her second title in Beijing. She won the tournament in her only previous appearance two seasons ago. Swiatek has won three titles this season, one at Wimbledon and the other two on hard courts in Cincinnati and Seoul.

Emma Navarro is through to the round of 16 at the China Open for the first time. Navarro started the week with a straight-sets win over Romania’s Elena Gabriela Ruse. She prevailed 6-3, 7-6 in two hours, her 30th win of the season in all competitions.

In her second match, Navarro benefitted from a retirement. She had won the first set against French sensation Lois Boisson 6-2 in 39 minutes. And the American had broken at the start of the second set, but Boisson retired from the match shortly after, giving Navarro passage into the fourth round.

Iga Swiatek vs Emma Navarro Head-To-Head

Swiatek and Navarro have played twice in their careers. The Pole won their first match at an ITF tournament in 2018 in straight sets. Their second meeting was at the 2025 Australian Open. Swiatek won 6-1, 6-2.

Iga Swiatek vs Emma Navarro Prediction

Swiatek looks unstoppable right now in the kind of form she is in. Six matches won, and she has inflicted four bagel sets in that run, including two in Beijing. Against Swiatek, there is simply no time to reset. When the ball is in play, she plays points quicker than anybody else, and Navarro lacks the power to punch through the Pole.
