The  newly confirmed year-end World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz will face Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime in the second semifinal at the ATP Finals on Saturday, November 15. Here’s our Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime prediction. This preview will also include a Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime pick.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Preview

Carlos Alcaraz needed three group stage wins to be certain of finishing the season as World No. 1 and the Spanish star achieved that feat by going undefeated in the round robin stage at the ATP Finals. After a semifinal run on his debut two seasons ago and a group stage exit last year, it’s the first time Alcaraz has won all three group matches to advance to the semifinals. He only dropped one set, and that was in that thrilling second match against Taylor Fritz.

Besides that, Alcaraz cruised past De Minaur 7-6, 6-2 and then Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-1. It’s the first time he’s won at least 70 tour-level matches in a season and will be chasing for his career-best ninth title in 2025. Alcaraz was also confirmed as World No. 1 and will overtake Jannik Sinner after the tournament.

Felix Auger-Aliassime clinched the winner-take-all group stage match to secure his progress into the semifinals of the ATP Finals for the first time. Competing in his second ATP Finals, Auger-Aliassime lost the first three sets in the tournament. Two against Jannik Sinner in a defeat and then one against Ben Shelton, where he turned it around to win in three.

In a match against Alexander Zverev to decide the final semifinal spot, the Canadian won the battle of the heavyweights as he downed two-time former champion Zverev 6-4, 7-6. It was his 50th win of the season. He’ll guarantee himself a new career-high ranking of No. 5 after the tournament at the very least.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Head-To-Head

Alcaraz and Auger-Aliassime have met seven times. Alcaraz leads 4-3 in the head-to-head and won their last meeting at the Paris Olympics last season.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction

Auger-Aliassime is one of the biggest ball strikers in the world and you would assume these are conditions that are tailor-made for him to challenge Alcaraz. But the Spaniard is finishing the season in the grand manner and has swept past Auger-Aliassime in each of their last four meetings. The speed and ferocity of Alcaraz’s returns will negate all of Auger-Aliassime’s humongous power. Alcaraz can make slow starts in matches, but he’s in the zone right now, and I can’t see him dropping his level

Nur Said's Pick: Alcaraz in straight sets
