As close as the odds look, I have to back Kalinskaya and not purely because of her experience. The Russian generates easy power from both wings, which is what Chwalinska lacks, and if Kalinskaya serves well and maintains her aggression without overpressing, she should be able to dictate most of the rallies. My only concern would be Kalinskaya’s recovery after that brutal three-hour match against Potapova, but Chwalinska has also played a lot of tennis as a qualifier, so that angle evens out.
