World No. 78 Antonia Ruzic will face World No. 112 Kamilla Rakhimova in the semifinal of the 2025 Angers Challenger on Saturday, December 6. Here’s our Antonia Ruzic vs Kamilla Rakhimova prediction. This preview will also include an Antonia Ruzic vs Kamilla Rakhimova pick.

Antonia Ruzic vs Kamilla Rakhimova Preview

Antonia Ruzic outlasted Czech Dominika Salkova to reach the Angers semifinals. The match took 28 games to decide and lasted nearly two hours. The first set took 44 minutes as Salkova broke in the 12th game to win the set 7-5.

However, Salkova’s game dipped, and Ruzic began swinging for the fences in the second set, where she earned an early break to lead 3-2 and then secured another break to lead 5-2. She served for the set 6-2. The third set finished with the same score and it was Ruzic who secured two breaks.

Kamilla Rakhimova is edging closer to a top 100 return and the World No. 112 defeated Mona Barthel to climb to 108th in the live rankings. The match took 22 games to decide and it was Rakhimova who secured a precious straight-sets win in under two hours.

Rakhimova rallied from a break down in the opening set and won five of the next six games from 1-2 down. But she needed nine set points in a very long ninth game to seal it. The second set was far from dramatic, but it was tense and tight and was settled in a tiebreak after both players held in 12 games. Rakhimova earned three mini breaks to dominate the breaker 7-3. One more win will be enough for Rakhimova to rejoin the top 100.

Antonia Ruzic vs Kamilla Rakhimova Head-To-Head

Ruzic and Rakhimova have met once on the ITF. Rakhimova won their only meeting in an ITF event in Zagreb five years ago.

Antonia Ruzic vs Kamilla Rakhimova Prediction

Rakhimova has played with so much authority this week, beating Korneeva as a massive underdog and then edging out the tricky Mona Barthel in straight sets. Her record before Angers was dismal, but she’s just found when she needed it most and pushed through tough opponents. Ruzic is sharp and scrappy and one of the most promising young players who will surely have a great 2026, but she might just fall short in hitting through Rakhimova here.

Nur Said's Pick: Kamilla Rakhimova in three sets
