Alexander Bublik is the second seed at the Gstaad Open. Bublik is ranked 34^th in the world rankings, which is double his previous career-high ranking on the ATP Tour. The Kazakh is competing in Gstaad for the first time, opting to pick up points and make up for a mediocre Wimbledon campaign where he surprisingly lost in the first round to Jaume Munar in five sets. It was a shocking loss for Bublik, who came into the third Grand Slam of the season as a dark horse.
