Iga Swiatek and Alexandra Eala clash in the quarterfinal of the 2025 WTA Miami Open on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Here's our Iga Swiatek vs Alexandra Eala prediction. This preview will also include an Iga Swiatek vs Alexandra Eala pick.
Iga Swiatek Preview
Iga Swiatek powered past Elina Svitolina to reach her second quarterfinal at the WTA Miami Open. Swiatek prevailed 7-6, 6-3 in two hours for her 21st win in 26 matches this season.
In the victory, Swiatek hit 36 winners and 37 unforced errors, including one ace and three double faults. Swiatek landed 61% of first serves in play and won 67% of first serve points (28/42). The World No. 2 won 41% of second serve points (11/27) and saved one of six breakpoints.
Swiatek compiled 53% of return points (45/85) and broke Svitolina six times in the match. The last time Swiatek reached the last eight in Miami, she went on to win the tournament (2022). She is still without a title this year as March approaches to a close. Can Iga end her drought?
Alexandra Eala Preview
Alexandra Eala reached her maiden WTA 1000 quarterfinal in quite fortuitous circumstances. Her fourth-round opponent, Paula Badosa, withdrew from the tournament because of an injury, giving the young Filipina a walkover.
But there was nothing lucky about her run, which includes a career-best win over Australian Open champion Madison Keys in the third round. Keys wasn't the only Major champion to fall against the 19-year-old. Former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko suffered a similar fate before her in the second round.
Eala, who entered the Miami main draw as a wild card, has not lost a set in the tournament. Can she do the unthinkable and beat the second seed?

Iga Swiatek vs Alexandra Eala Prediction
I have to go with experience and consistency at the top level here. And that's why Iga Swiatek will finally put an end to this groundbreaking run from Alexandra Eala. The young Filipina has punched above her weight, and her quarterfinal run is nothing short of magical. Ironically, Swiatek's last two defeats have been to a teenager. But we're talking of Mirra Andreeva, who is miles clear of Eala at this stage. Still, this might be a good learning point for the 19-year-old Eala whose confidence is through the roof.
