Herbert is a nightmare opponent indoors, with the French veteran enjoying the bulk of his success playing in these conditions where his massive serve is almost undefendable. He has beaten Medvedev twice in his career, but the last of those victories was six years ago. These days, he doesn't strike as someone capable of scoring an upset of that magnitude. But Medvedev's lackluster start and confidence issues opens a window of opportunity for Herbert to steal a set here.
