Historically, he has performed with distinction in Rotterdam, winning the 2021 title and reaching the semifinal in the subsequent season. He was also labeled the king of the ATP 500s not long ago when he went on a winning spree in tournaments of this level.

However, Rublev's inability to keep a cool head on the court has seen his form take a sharp nosedive in recent months. But it's not like Hurkacz has been firing on all cylinders of late. The Pole is still in the midst of regaining his top-10 status after a knee injury last summer. The odds are just about right here with Rublev starting as a slight favorite.
