Novak Djokovic vs Jaime Faria Prediction
It took a set and a half before Novak Djokovic settled in his opening match against American wild card Nishesh Basavareddy. For a fleeting moment, it looked like an upset was brewing inside Rod Laver Arena before normal service resumed. Does Djokovic need to be worried about his form for the remainder of the tournament? Very much so.
At this stage, it is becoming a regular occurrence, losing sets unexpectedly even though he is still a master tactician and nobody can trump his experience. But it is endurance and physical ability that could significantly jeopardize his chances of winning a 25th Slam. For now, his sole focus is on getting to the second week and this is another match where I fully expect Djokovic's experience to come to the fore.
