This match could depend on whether Samsonova can find her rhythm early and cut down on her unforced errors. But her aggressive approach means that is easier said than done. Her game yields far too many errors that will unlikely go unpunished against a great defender like Navarro. Still, I reckon she's always an attractive pick at plus money on a fast hard court.

I fancied the upset in Navarro's match against Alexandrova and it was a tight contest, which ultimately was decided by subtle moments. Samsonova is a bigger risk taker than Alexandrova, and can be handful to control if her serve is firing on all cylinders.
