Poland vs Great Britain United Cup Prediction
Iga Swiatek vs Katie Boulter Preview
Iga Swiatek remains undefeated at this year's United Cup. The 23-year-old extended her winning streak in this competition to seven matches (singles) and has now won 10 of 11 matches since debuting in 2023.
Swiatek's latest victory was probably her most impressive, as she overcame the sternest examinations in the tie against Czechia, which determined who topped Group B in Sydney.
She beat Czech's No.1 WTA player in the competition in Karolina Muchova (also improved her h2h to 3-1) in a match that took 19 games to decide.
In the victory, Swiatek landed 66% of first serves. She won 62% of first-serve points (34/55) and 50% of second-serve points (14/28), while saving five out of seven break points.
Swiatek won 48% of return points (30/63) and converted all of the four break points she created.
Katie Boulter, meanwhile, delivered for Great Britain in the all-important clash against home nation Australia. Boutler's straight-sets win in singles over Olivia Gadecki was sufficient to earn the Brits a spot in the final eight of the United Cup.
Iga Swiatek vs Katie Boulter Head-To-Head
• Swiatek and Boulter have never clashed at the WTA level.
Iga Swiatek vs Katie Boulter Prediction
Unless Katie Boulter can pull off another win out of the bag, this is very likely where Great Britain's campaign at the United Cup will finally reach its epilogue. Swiatek has an incredible record in this competition and is undoubtedly the best player who has competed and not won this tournament. But she's been all guns blazing from the first ball she struck this week and Poland is clearly a better and more formidable team with Swiatek in their ranks.
Pick: Swiatek to win in AND under 19.5 games
Hubert Hurkacz vs Billy Harris Preview
Hubert Hurkacz has now lost as many matches (singles) as he did in the entire campaign at the United Cup 12 months ago when Poland went all the way to the final.
Hurkacz lost to Casper Ruud of Norway and then to Tomas Machac of Czechia. That means he is still chasing his first win of the new season heading into this crucial quarterfinal tie against Great Britain.
The 27-year-old has proved his value in mixed doubles as he teamed up with Swiatek to beat the Czechs and secure top spot in the group.
Billy Harris, meanwhile, was simply outclassed by Alex de Minaur in the tie against Australia, but Team GB were assured of topping the group thanks to Boulter's win over Gadecki earlier on Wednesday.
Harris was selected to replace the injured Jack Draper but has lost twice in ties against Argentina and Australia. His losing run stretches to five matches dating back to last season.
Hubert Hurkacz vs Billy Harris Head-To-Head
• Hurkacz and Harris have no previous history on the ATP Tour. This will be their first meeting.
Hubert Hurkacz vs Billy Harris Prediction
Hubert Hurkacz has been Poland's most vulnerable player at the 2025 United Cup and Great Britain will be looking to exploit his physical struggles. This, however, is where Great Britain's squad will look thin on paper and Jack Draper's absence will be keenly felt as Harris is unlikely to pose too much of a challenge. Expect Hurkacz to serve Poland into the final four.
Pick: Hubert Hurkacz to win in straight sets
