Arthur Fils is the tournament favorite but made a losing start to his 2024 Next Gen ATP Finals. Fils was beaten by Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca for the second time this year.

Arthur Fils vs Jakub Mensik Prediction
Fils and Mensik were among the top favorites to win the Next Gen ATP Finals. The Frenchman went undefeated in the group stage last year in his run to the final. But he's already tasted defeat in his opening match this week and now faces the prospect of early elimination if he loses to Mensik.
Fils looked a shadow of his best against Fonseca, spraying far too many errors for his liking and looked lethargic most of the time. The same cannot be said of Mensik who fought to the very end despite losing to an in-form Tien. Mensik also finished the match with more winners than unforced errors. Happy to back the Czech at +150.
