Dayana Yastremksa won her opening match at the 2024 WTA Limoges 125K tournament in straight sets. She defeated Russia's Alina Charaeva 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 40 minutes.

Carole Monnet is ranked World No. 236 and also won against Ella Seidel of Germany by a mirror score of 6-4, 6-4.

The Frenchwoman won 76 percent of second-serve points (19/25) and saved six of seven break points.

On her return, Monnet converted three of seven break points. It's her eighth win on an indoor hard court in 2024. She has also lost eight matches on this surface.

But at this level, she's clearly a very lethal player as her power can obliterate the WTA's lower-ranked players. She can also easily get way with gifting opponents too many errors. Give me Yastremska in two sets.
