Sara Bejlek and Leolia Jeanjean meet in the quarterfinal of the 2024 WTA Buenos Aires 125K tournament. The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 29, 2024. Here's our Sara Bejlek vs Leolia Jeanjean prediction. This article will also contain a Sara Bejlek vs Leolia Jeanjean pick.
Sara Bejlek Preview
Sara Bejlek has improved on her record in Buenos Aires 125K tournament by reaching the quarterfinals for the first time.
Bejlek whose only previous appearance was back in 2022 when she was only 16 has won two matches this week.
In the first round she beat a higher-ranked opponent in Robin Montgomery of the USA despite trailing 5-7, 2-5.
In the second round, Bejlek scored a more routine win against Fita Boluda of Spain. She dropped just three games in a 66-minute workout.
The young Czech has now won 10 of her last 11 matches on clay in a run that includes a title win at the Sibenik W60 ITF tournament and a semifinal finish in Colina this past week.
Leolia Jeanjean Preview
Leolia Jeanjean picked up her third win on South American soil this month after upsetting second seed Suzan Lamens in the second round in Buenos Aires.
Jeanjean was a runner-up during her last trip to Argentina while competing at an ITF tournament in September.
The Frenchwoman has played most of her tennis on clay this season, winning 23 matches on the surface.
But it is on indoor hard courts when she has had great success, lifting two ITF titles.
Sara Bejlek vs Leolia Jeanjean Head-To-Head
• Sara Bejlek leads Leolia Jeanjean 2-0 in their head-to-head.
• When they last played on clay, Bejlek defeated Jeanjean in Florianopolis, Brazil, last season.
• This year, Bejlek dropped just three games to Jeanjean in a straight-sets drubbing in qualifying in Austin 250.
Sara Bejlek vs Leolia Jeanjean Prediction
I like Bejlek here. Leaving the Czech camp after the Billie Jean King Cup in Europe to travel to South America so late in the season just shows how ambitious and determined she is with her career. She hasn't quite made the splash that many had predicted this year because of health reasons. Bejlek missed a few months in the first half of the season but is making it up for that lost time in these 125-level events now that she is fully fit again.
