Renata Zarazua is through to her first WTA 125K final of the season. She earned a retirement win over American Lauren Davis in the semifinal.

Zarazua came back from a set down to win 3-6, 7-6, 3-0, with Davis retiring midway through the deciding set. 

The Mexican has one title at this level, winning the Montevideo 125K in Uruguay last season.

Zarazua has 49 match wins this year at all levels and is on a six-match winning streak.

Hanna Chang also needed three sets to reach the Charleston 125 final. This is the 26-year-old's first final at this level this year.

Chang beat Nuria Brancaccio 7-5, 0-6, 6-4 in the semis in almost two hours. The American hit three aces and six doubles faults and landed 60% of first serves.

Chang tallied 67% of first-serve points (31/46) and 39% of second-serve points (12/31). She converted four of five break points while saving five of 10 break points on her own delivery.

Chang has nine ITF titles but has not triumphed at the 125K level. She improves to 10-5 on clay this season.

Hanna Chang is coming off a massive win over Nuria Brancaccio, and she's earned a third successive win as a pre-match underdog this week. Granted Chang is not used to competing at this level often, she has bagged at least a set in eight of her last nine matches (winning seven of those matches outright). Taking the American to win a set here is the smartest choice at +140
