Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev meet in the group stage of the 2024 ATP Finals in Turin, Italy. The match is scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024. Here's our Alexander Zverev vs Andrey Rublev prediction. This article will also contain an Alexander Zverev vs Andrey Rublev pick.

Alexander Zverev vs Andrey Rublev Preview

Alexander Zverev is back in the top two of the ATP rankings, replacing Carlos Alcaraz as World No. 2 after his success at the Paris Masters. The German clinched his second title of the season and might still realistically make it three by the end of next week in Turin.

Zverev is a two-time champion of the ATP Finals, winning the season finale most recently in 2022. Last year, however, he failed to navigate his way out of the group despite winning two round-robin matches.

This year, he's been pared in the same group as Alcaraz, but he will fancy his chances of qualifying as he's also been drawn with Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud.

Rublev doesn't have a formidable record when compared to Zverev at the ATP Finals. Only once in his four previous appearances had he qualified for the semifinals. In the three other group stage exits, he did not win more than a single match.

The odds are certainly stacked against the Russian here, with question marks about the recent abdominal injury he sustained while playing in Metz.

Alexander Zverev vs Andrey Rublev Head-To-Head

• Alexander Zverev leads Andrey Rublev 6-3 in their head-to-head.

• They last met at the same stage of the ATP Finals just 12 months ago, with Zverev winning in straight sets.

Alexander Zverev vs Andrey Rublev Prediction

Alexander Zverev is the form player coming to the ATP Finals. He bagged the last Masters 1000 tournament in Paris, which was on an indoor hard court. He's got a track record at the season-ending championships, winning the title twice in the past. Rublev's withdrawal from Metz this past week might be precautionary, but even at full health, it's tough to see him flip the script here and dent Zverev's winning run. Give me the German to win this in straight sets for maximum value.

Nur’s Pick Alexander Zverev in straight sets
