Jannik Sinner and Bu Yunchaokete meet in the semifinal at the 2024 China Open in Beijing. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Here's our Jannik Sinner vs Bu Yunchaokete prediction. This article will also contain a Jannik Sinner vs Bu Yunchaokete pick.
Jannik Sinner vs Bu Yunchaokete Preview
Jannik Sinner notched his 60th win of his career-best season in the quarterfinal of the China Open. The Italian World No. 1 defeated Czech rising star Jiri Lehecka in straight sets. The match took 21 games to decide and nearly two hours.
In the victory, Sinner tallied seven aces and three double faults. He landed 60% of first serves. Sinner won 88% of first-serve points (35/40) and 56% of second-serve points (15/27). He converted two of four break points and saved two break points on his own serve.
Sinner is on a 15-match win streak and can equal his best winning sequence of 16 matches, which he achieved at the start of the season.
Bu Yunchaokete is the talk of the town at the China Open. The energetic 22-year-old continues to delight the home nation and made history on Monday when he scored his first-ever Top 10 win over Russia's Andrey Rublev. He's the first Chinese player to contest a semifinal in the Beijing ATP 500 and the lowest-ranked man to do so in over a decade.
He most certainly benefited from playing a fatigued Rublev who was on double duty on Monday, having had to complete his rain-interrupted round of 16 match earlier during the day before he was summoned to play the quarterfinal in the evening session. But take nothing away from the World No. 96 who showed a fearless attitude on the court and incredible ball striking to close out a polished 7-5, 6-4 win.

Jannik Sinner vs Bu Yunchaokete Prediction
For years, Chinese tennis yearned for a successor to Li Na and it is fair to say multiple names have stepped up this year on both the men's and women's side of things. And who would have thought the unhearlded Bu Yunchaokete would be the man to make history at the China Open.
This will be the hottest ticket in Beijing as Bu is on the verge of something extraordinary. But I can't see him getting too comfortable on the court against the World No. 1, who is unaffected by off-court events regarding his doping saga.
