The Australian World No. 152 came through qualifying and has doubled her wins in the main draw this week by beating the American duo of Sloane Stephens and Danielle Collins. 

The victory over Collins is the most shocking result of the week as it was Gadecki's second-ever Top 20 win of her young career. The match took 18 games to decide, and Collins was extremely error-prone, committing eight double faults and dropping her serve four times. The second seed also tallied 35 unforced errors, which played a huge part in the defeat.
