Kyle Edmund meets Dominik Koepfer in the second-round of the 2020 New York Open.
Kyle Edmund will see 2020 as a redemption season. The Brit has a horrendous 2019 and did not live up to his hype. Edmund can be a great player, but he needs to find the consistency in his game if he wants to achieve great things in the sport. Edmund will have to work extremely hard if he wants to challenge in tournaments this year.
Dominik Koepfer is an underrated player in my opinion. The German has an amazing serve and his forehand is incredibly powerful. When we saw Koepfer play at the US Open he was incredibly close to beating Daniil Medvedev who eventually went to the final. It will be interesting to see how Koepfer's career will go in 2020.
This will be the first meeting between both players, and I think Koepfer will edge this. Koepfer is underrated and Edmund will probably think this is an easy match. Edmund needs to realise that he can only be great if he plays hard and works hard. Koepfer will make a statement in this match.
Koepfer to win.
