The Swiss Maestro, Roger Federer, meets Hungarian, Marton Fucsovics, in the fourth-round of the 2020 Australian Open on Sunday January 26 2020.

Roger Federer came through one of the hardest tests in recent years. The Swiss won a 5-set thriller in which Federer not only came back from a break in the fifth set, but also came back from 8-4 down in the match tiebreak. Federer showed great resilience and did not lose his concentration in moments of panic. Federer struggled with his second serve in the match, but also with his return. These issues can be said to have been created by the stress and knowledge that the Swiss Maestro could lose to Millman as he has previously done in a Grand Slam. Federer will want to ensure his tennis improved in the next round.

Marton Fucsovics has had an incredible tournament. The Hungarian beat rising stars, Denis Shapovalov, Jannik Sinner and Tommy Paul to book his spot in the fourth-round. Fucsovics will be extremely happy with his performance and will use this to work on having a great 2020 season. Fucsovics will now face his biggest challenge and will have to play his best to even challenge Federer.

Federer has already played Fucsovics twice and won on both occasions. Federer will want to come out and have a much faster match than his previous round and show us that he is still able to compete for the biggest titles in the world of tennis. Federer wins this match easily.
