Day 6 of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown and the day session is packed with exciting matchups. Benoit Paire meets Feliciano Lopez, Matteo Berrettini meets Dominic Thiem, and Stefanos Tsitsipas meets Alexei Popyrin. Who will close out the weekend with momentum?
Benoit Paire vs. Feliciano Lopez:
Benoit Paire has been very disappointing here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, constantly throwing away matches and easy points, and throwing a temper tantrum when things do not go his way. In my opinion, Paire is getting too confident in himself and needs to understand that the right attitude helps your game evolve. Feliciano Lopez is the complete opposite, showing us that he can play incredibly well at the age of 38. This match will not even be a contest in my opinion and Lopez will take complete advantage of an unwilling competitor in Benoit Paire.
Pick: Feliciano Lopez
Matteo Berrettini vs. Dominic Thiem:
One of the most exciting matchups of the weekend is here as world No.3, Dominic Thiem, meets world No.8, Matteo Berrettini. Both these players know each other very well, having met 4 times before and splitting the matches equally. What really stands out in this encounter is how dominant Berrettini has been against Thiem. Berrettini has always won a set against Thiem and Berrettini has destroyed Thiem in his two wins against him. This match will be tight, but I expect Berrettini to overpower Thiem from the baseline.
Pick: Matteo Berrettini
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs. Alexei Popyrin:
This is going to be a very interesting match as two of the youngest player here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown meet on Sunday. Alexei Popyrin wants to make a name for himself here and he has done so already with incredible performances over the last two weekends, however, he now faces the toughest opponent here. Stefanos Tsitsipas is no joke. Although Tsitsipas is only a year older than Popyrin, he has so much more experience. Tsitsipas is the future of the Men's game and he will want to perform incredibly well in all his matches. Tsitsipas is just too good for Popyrin in my opinion.
Pick: Alexei Popyrin
