At the time of this writing, Aaron Ramsdale is undergoing a physical and it looks like he could play here. Ramsdale should be the starting goalie if the deal goes through in time. Southampton is going to need the defense to be better.

Brentford won the first game of the season against Crystal Palace and they scored two runs on the way to the victory. In the last Premier League game though, Brentford failed to score zero goals and they ended up lodging 2-0. In the midweek, they played an EFL Cup game against Colchester, and they ended up winning 1-0. It sounds like Ivan Toney could be on the move and by the time this game kicks off, he might not be on the roster. The good news though is Brentford did make a couple of big signings. Gustavo Nunes has joined the team and they need him to be a difference maker for this team.

I don’t care who is starting in goal for Southampton, they are going to have some issues. Brentford’s offense is going to get out a solid start here, and their defense is going to lockdown. Southampton is going to struggle to get any quality scoring chances going and that is going to be the difference here. Back Brentford to get the job done on the money line.
